Amazing face. According to legend the Kalash are the lost warriors of Alexander the Great’s army, hence the blue eyes, I guess. A pretty fascinating place and people in Pakistan. And for Alexander the Great, check this link for a clip of amazing art direction and cinematography.

No limits what this man can do with thematic injections into his typography work, and the poetry, oh la la
LCD Soundsystem – Someone Great
music video directed by Doug Aitken, and fits perfectly into his ouevre, unlike when other artists do music videos (think Leos Carax for New Order).

Illustrations by the guy who does the work on Comme des Garcon’s Play collection.
Q Lazzarus – Goodbye Horses (video)
Watch this track get a blow-up on a revival note.

Pierre Bismuth – ‘Of the Influence of Fontana on His Own Work’
That’s hilarious. And he’s a conceptually concerned artist who won an Oscar. That’s pretty cool.
After spending the 1980s and early 1990s as a contemporary art critic for Artforum, Flash Art, Art Press and Text Zur Kunst, Olivier Zahm co-founded Purple magazine in 1992 with Elein Fleiss. Throughout the ’90s, the magazine, initially called Purple Prose, grew to encompass several sister publications: Purple Fashion, Purple Sexe, Purple Fiction, Purple, Purple Book, Purple Music, and Purple Journal. Since 2004, Zahm has been the editor of Purple Fashion, a biannual magazine on art and fashion. In addition to his editorial responsibilities, Zahn is the founder of the Purple Institute, an art direction society and consulting company aimed at creating links between the art world and industry. Zahm recently signed on to become the artistic director for the Spring 2007 Yves Saint Laurent Homme campaign. Zahm is also a renowned curator and has worked on over 150 exhibitions of contemporary art throughout the world (Paris, New York, Tokyo, Milan, Mexico, Copenhagen, Taipei, Hong-Kong, Berlin, etc.) as well as with great public institutions like PS1, the Museum of Modern Art, Paris (“Winter of Love”), and the Pompidou Center (“Elysian Fields”). Zahm’s most recent exhibition is entitled “The Kate Moss Show,” which has just opened in FOAM, Amsterdam. With Purple Fashion, Zahm has attempted to bridge the worlds of art and fashion and in so doing has become internationally recognized.

Olafur Eliasson’s Water Fall project.
Poetic lines, randomly stumbled upon.
Vertical bars on the windows made it easier to see you.
The mirror breaks, but the windex remains. (too funny)
The pen marks on your pad are open to my interpretation of them as doubt.
Where have you been? A photograph pasted on a calendar.
